Cello & Piano Duo
Rebecca Hewes (cello) Russell Hepplewhite (piano)
Rebecca Hewes and Russell Hepplewhite formed their cello and piano duo seven years ago, and have since accumulated a vast repertoire which they have performed together in many concerts and masterclasses. They are regularly invited to appear in prestigious concert series' and festivals, and have performed extensively throughout the UK. In 2004 were selected to appear as featured artists in the Concordia Foundation's International Concert Series, which resulted in a number of prestigious recitals and collaborations with other artists. More recently they were shortlisted for the Park Lane Group series at the Southbank Centre. In addition to their concerts in the UK, their overseas engagements have taken them to Poland and Portugal.
Rebecca and Russell also perform together in larger ensembles, with recent concerts including Schoenberg Pierrot Lunaire, Messiaen Quartet for the End of Time, and the Brahms piano trios and clarinet trio.
